Andrea Joy Cook

A.J. Cook is well known as an actor from Canada. She is best known as a Canadian actor for her roles in The Virgin Suicides (1998) and Final Destination 2(2003). Also, she appeared as Jennifer "JJ" Jareau on the tv show Criminal Minds. Cook's television credits comprise Dead Like Me, Tru Calling, Higher Ground, Bluemoon, PSI Factor, Goosebumps, Elvis Meets Nixon, In His Father's Shoes, Laser Hawk and the TV movie Island Heat. She has appeared in the movies Blood Suckers, Final Destination II, The House Next Door, Out Cold, Ripper, The Virgin Suicides, Kisses and The Tinker. Cook was brought up in Whitby, Ontario, through her parents Sandra and Mike who were both teachers at school. Cook was raised by the rest of her siblings: Angela Nathan as well as Paul. She is an Mormon and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. When she was a little girl, she studied the art of tap, jazz and ballet dance. After participating in several dance competitions, the young woman started acting when she was seventeen. The movie Dirty Dancing starring Patrick Swayze was the catalyst for her becoming an actress. Cook was introduced to Nathan Andersen while taking a film course at Utah Valley University in the summer of 2001, got married to the actor. The couple has their son Mekhai Allan Andersen, born on the 13th of September in 2008. She is a resident of Los Angeles
