Kelly Clarkson, an American performer, songwriter and actress, who won the American Idol competition in its debut season, grew into a national favorite. The success not only pushed her to the top of the charts however, it also secured an album deal that included RCA Records 19 Recordings and 'S Records. Since then the win, she's released a variety of studio albums. Of these albums 3, three reached the US Billboard 200 Chart while others were only a few centimeters away. Her name is one of the top artists to came out of American Idol. When she was successful, she explored a variety of topics and styles of music, often co-writing her songs in accordance of her personal beliefs. She earned critical acclaim and many prestigious prizes in recognition of her uniqueness and vocal prowess. The most notable is that she was awarded Grammy Awards three times. Grammy Award three times. Apart from her singing career, she also has appeared on television and in films. She also co-wrote the picture book for kids River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and is involved with several charitable organizations.
